Explore more than 300 years of local history by touring Tryon Palace’s historic and reconstructed buildings. Interact with costumed interpreters as they bring early American history to life. Then get a 21st-century experience with the North Carolina History Center’s state-of-the-art exhibits and galleries.
Our comprehensive group admission tickets allow you to explore all Tryon Palace has to offer and fully explore the rich history of New Bern and eastern North Carolina.
10:40am Arrival @ North Carolina History Center
Bring a packed lunch to enjoy Bates Common/Mattocks Hall where we will be allotted a 30 minute time for lunch break. Exact time will depend on tours which will not be determined until the day of our visit.

Our field trip ends at 3pm.
**No refunds are given for weather, illness, late arrivals, or no-shows unless the event is canceled by THRC or the field trip destination. Please allow ample time for travel. Children 5 and under are free but must be counted when reserving your family’s tickets. Directions and further information about field trip policies from the venue will be emailed at least 5 days prior to the event.
