Materials: Students should come to class with basic school supplies (pencils, crayons, scissors, glue). Dress in comfortable clothing appropriate for outdoors. Closed-toed shoes are required. Class will be held rain or shine.

Join our action-packed class for adventurous 3rd to 5th graders! Get ready to master wilderness survival skills using the thrilling Bear Grylls Adventure book series as our guide.

In this engaging course, students will explore survival techniques through exciting lessons, hands-on activities, and educational videos. Reading at home will be required and each student must have access to their own copies of the Bear Grylls Adventures series (affiliate link) available either in paperback, audiobook, or from your local library. Limited copies are available for purchase at The Triangle Homeschool Resource Center.

From an Introduction to Survival and discovering Bear Grylls’s inspiring biography to knot-tying practice and creating their own survival handbook, students will develop essential skills while immersing themselves in the world of wilderness survival. This comprehensive class also incorporates reading and writing language arts activities to enhance literacy skills alongside the exciting adventures of Bear Grylls.
